4x Super Bowl winner wishes he could’ve played for Dan Campbell’s Detroit Lions
Rob Gronkowski has hinted from time to time that he could be back for another bite at Super Bowl and there's one coach he would love to play for is Dan Campbell.

The Detroit Lions stand the risk of imploding in the final few games with as many as 17 players on the injury list. At this point in time, Dan Campbell might need the champion’s mentality to pull his team through such trying times.
There’s hardly anyone better to inject some gusto into the Lions team than Rob Gronkowski. Even though he retired from the Gridiron two years ago, the veteran tight end indicated he might reconsider making a comeback if he gets the chance to play for Dan Campbell.
During a recent segment of Up & Adams, the 35-year-old told host Kay Adams about his admiration for Campbell.
What does @RobGronkowski make of Dan Campbell's recent comments about how the #Lions needed "moldy bread" before the playoffs? 😬

Campbell and Gronkowski sound like a match made in football heaven. If there’s one guy who can match the intensity level of the Lions head coach, then it’s the former Patriots and Buccaneers star. Campbell can surely make use of his knowledge of being a four-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler. Gronk still holds the record for most touchdowns scored in a season by a tight end with 17.
Dan Campbell isn’t ready to throw in the towel
Any coach would want his team stacked with quality starters and backups going into the business end of the season. Campbell is no different but he has his hands tied with the injuries to players like Aidan Hutchinson, David Montgomery, Za’Darius White, and so many others.
However, the 48-year-old isn’t a quitter. He will fight with the players he has, and to him, they are enough to win games.
Campbell claimed fans will never hear him complain about not having a full-strength squad.
Lions still have two games left against NFC North rivals. In week 16, they face the 4-10 Chicago Bears, followed by a trip to the Bay Area to play the San Francisco 49ers before the grand finale at Ford Field when they host the 12-2 Minnesota Vikings to close the regular season.
