“He’ll be sacked soon” – Fans start to give up on Pep Guardiola as Manchester City loses yet another game against Aston Villa
Several fans turned on Pep Guardiola after Manchester City failed to claim victory over Aston Villa as the game ended 2-1.

If there’s a club in Europe that really needs to fix things up, it is Manchester City. The reigning Premier League champions recently lost yet another game as their losing streak continues.
Aston Villa became the most recent club to pick up a win over the Cityzens, as goals from Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers helped Unai Emery‘s side claim a 2-1 win. City went into the game on Saturday with just one win in its last ten games in all competitions.
Despite the desperate need for a win, City went behind in the 16th minute itself. The second half also saw more of the same as the hosts doubled its advantage.
Rogers put his side 2-0 up in the 65th minute with a low-driven shot to the bottom right corner past Stefan Ortega. Even though City pulled one back through Phil Foden, his goal proved to be too little, too late.

Foden’s goal in the 93rd minute could only cut the deficit in half as City dropped to 6th position with 27 points from 17 games. City’s next games are against Everton and Leicester City after Christmas. Pep Guardiola and co. will struggle to even make the top four if their horrendous form continues.
Fans react to Manchester City’s painful defeat to Villa
Following the 2-1 loss, a fan commented that Pep Guardiola will soon be sacked by the club. No matter how successful, winning just once in the last ten games will put any manager under pressure, according to a few.
Some, however, defended the manager, with fans stating that both Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne being out injured is too much for any team to handle. Fans joked that Manchester City is playing the role of Santa this Christmas, gifting points to every club Guardiola’s side has come up against in recent times.

There needs to be a conversation about how he’s pretty overrated. Great manager but has always had amazing teams

Fans even claimed that City will not finish in the top four spots this season unless Guardiola manages to somehow turn things around. Rival fans have given City and its supporters no respite ever since the losing streak began.
City’s last win came against Nottingham Forest earlier this month in a 3-0 win in the Premier League. With the Premier League title virtually out of sight for the Cityzens, it appears that Liverpool and Chelsea are the ones that will battle it out for the coveted prize.
