Since the Memphis Grizzlies drafted him, star Ja Morant has proven to be one of the most electrifying players in the league. Morant has played a crucial role in the team’s success in recent years, leading them to the playoffs. However, the Grizzlies experienced a regression last season due to Morant’s absence from the lineup. The Grizzlies ended the season with a bad win-loss record of 27-55 and even failed to make it to the playoffs by a large margin.

Recently on the show NBA Today, former NBA center Festus Ezeli expressed his concerns about the Memphis Grizzlies as the next season approaches. Kendrick Perkins disagreed with Ezeli’s opinion and expressed his trust in the potential of the Grizzlies. 

I believe that the Memphis Grizzlies have the potential to be a top-three team in the Western Conference. The only team that I’m putting above them is the Oklahoma City Thunder, Ja Morant, let’s not forget who he is; let’s not forget that we took a whole camera crew, all of ESPN, all the elites, to go down to Memphis to eat some of the good barbecues to cover his games.

Morant’s off-court actions, which involved him showing a gun through his social media, led to his suspension from the NBA. Despite this setback, Morant made a successful return and once again showcased his talent as one of the league’s top stars. He played a key role in helping the Grizzlies secure several wins before unfortunately suffering a season-ending injury. However, Morant has since recovered and is now preparing for the upcoming season. Fans are eagerly anticipating his return to the court.

This year fans witnessed Team USA play great basketball and win their fifth straight gold medal. However, many believe that the same team won’t make it to the 2028 Olympics. Many analysts have already started to predict who’s going to be a part of Team USA in the 2028 Olympics.

Recently, Carmelo Anthony expressed his belief that Ja Morant should be a part of the 2028 Team USA. Anthony thinks Morant would make a great addition to the team, bringing the needed explosiveness to the squad.
