The NBA offseason has seen players engage in various activities—some for fun, others to stay fit for the upcoming season. However, Draymond Green took a different approach, gaining attention in a TikTok video which went viral on the internet. He was seen showing off his dance moves together with some female fans.
The Golden State Warriors star paid a visit to Michigan State over the weekend for the university’s fourth annual “Grind Week”. Draymond Green is an alumnus of the school, having played college basketball for the Spartans.
In the video shared on X, he was seen courtside with a couple of female students. High school prospect Agot Makeer, who posted the original clip on her TikTok account (@_agotmakeer), was also present.
Makeer is a young Canadian basketball talent who currently plays for Montverde Academy Eagles in Florida. She’s not yet part of the Spartans program at the moment, but they are on her shortlist alongside UConn, defending champions South Carolina, and Duke, while she decides.
As the event was about to end, Green took part in a dance challenge which generated tons of reactions from fans on social media. The NBA star is mostly known for his aggressiveness on the court rather than dance moves. So, it was quite a pleasant surprise for basketball fans to see him dancing on TikTok.
Fans react to viral video of Draymond Green showing dance moves
Truly the internet can never be held back. Basketball fans once again reacted to seeing Draymond Green spend his offseason in an unconventional way. While not all about his visit is known, his ability to put in impressive legwork has left fans in splits.
Some fans berated him over the clip and complained about his shape ahead of the new season, while others found it really hilarious and still entertaining as they wait for the offseason to end. Below are some fan reactions from X:
The next season’s training camp is starting in just a few weeks, and some players are already preparing. Green and his Golden State Warriors had a season to forget last year, especially as they failed to qualify for the playoffs after losing to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in.
Nonetheless, next season, the team will be looking to elevate their game and win the franchise another NBA championship. With Stephen Curry now fully committed to the Warriors, both him and Green will lead their charge next season.
