Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has been the subject of trade rumors even before he put on his cap on draft day. As speculations surmount with every passing season, his performance Friday reignited those rumors. Against the Los Angeles Clippers, Kuminga showcased his potential, delivering a career-high 34 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals.

Despite his efforts, however, the Warriors fell 102-92, playing without veteran stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. The Clippers led from the start, with the Warriors rarely looking like a threat, especially on the offensive end. Although their defense held the Clippers to 102 points, their offense mustered up just 92 points, primarily on the back of Jonathan Kuminga’s scoring output.

Kuminga’s role in Golden State has been a topic of debate since he was drafted seventh overall in 2021. His athleticism and flashes of brilliance have been undeniable.
