WWE kicked off its Holiday Tour on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. Among the notable names who wrestled at the show was CM Punk. The Second City Saint squared off against Ludwig Kaiser at MSG. During the match, Punk busted out moves from his iconic rival John Cena‘s repertoire. Punk hit Kaiser with two shoulder tackles and a side slam, as the fans in the arena knew what was coming next.
The two-time WWE Champion set his opponent up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Before hitting the move, Punk gave the “You Can’t See Me” taunt to Kaiser, similar to how Cena does. Obviously, this homage has come weeks before The Cenation Leader kickstarts his 2025 retirement tour. At this year’s Money in the Bank PLE, Cena officially announced that he would be retiring by the end of 2025.
The history between Punk and Cena goes way back to their heated rivalry during the early 2010s. For almost two years, the pair fought each other in multiple WWE Championship matches, including the well-acclaimed Money in the Bank 2011 clash.

As Cena nears the end of his illustrious career, fans are hoping for CM Punk to be somehow involved next year. The Straight Edge Superstar has previously expressed his desire to work with the sixteen-time world champion.
However, there are currently no reported plans for Cena’s retirement plans involving the former AEW wrestler. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how The Franchise Player’s final year as a WWE Superstar plays out.
CM Punk and John Cena both set to appear on Raw debut on Netflix
The road to WrestleMania 41 will begin at the upcoming Raw debut on Netflix. WWE has treated the $5 billion move to the streaming giant like a major PLE. As such, they will be bringing in the big guns for the first show on January 6.
John Cena has been advertised to appear, with the WWE legend already confirming his presence for the debut. Although his role on the show has not been specified, Cena is expected to be a main feature on Monday nights in 2025.
Meanwhile, CM Punk will be competing in his first match on the red brand in over a decade. The Straight Edge Superstar squares off against his rival, Seth Rollins, on January 6. Considering the animosity between both men, fans expect this to be one of the most heated matches of the night.
