Steve Kerrs fires back at Bob Myers
Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr spearheaded the Golden State Warriors Warriors Dynasty for over a decade. But the architect behind the team’s success was GM turned ESPN Analyst Bob Myers. But since Myers’ departure last season, it seems like there’s no love lost between the two. An exchange saw Kerr take a sly jibe at Myers during the preseason.
A 58-point blowout victory closed out the Warriors’ preseason. Soon after, ESPN’s Bob Myers joined the head coach for an interview. Myers and the Warriors stalwarts bantered back and forth. At one point, Steve Kerr fired a friendly shot at the former Warriors GM. In response to a question about Kerr coaching better since Myers’ departure from the team, here’s what the Warriors HC had to say:
Of course, Kerr’s comments came as a friendly jab between the duo, who spent 11 years together while sharing a close relationship. The two were also joined by Stephen Curry, who spent the team’s final preseason game rehabbing a sprained finger injury.

As the trio ribbed back and forth during the interview, Curry and Myers also shared a hilarious exchange. Curry admitted having PTSD from all the meetings he had with Bob Myers. It appears all parties have moved on with their careers respectively.
Steve Kerr leads Golden State to unbeaten preseason
While the trio of Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, and Bob Myers went back and forth on the sidelines, the Warriors closed out their preseason with a blowout 132-74 victory over the Lakers. The Dubs finish their preseason with an unbeaten 6-0 record, led by the coaching prowess of Kerr.
The team’s primary concern will be the status of their superstar guard, Steph Curry. The two-time MVP suffered an injury to his finger during a practice session with the team. While the injury isn’t severe, the Warriors will take every precaution to ensure their franchise player is healthy to start the regular season.
So far, they have remained unbeaten in the preseason games. They hope to reach the playoffs once again after missing out on it this season. Nonetheless, the Warriors will hope to keep up their preseason momentum as they head into their season-opening matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
