Bronny James finally had the breakout game everyone had been waiting for. The Los Angeles Lakers rookie had a disastrous start to begin the preseason. He struggled mightily to shoot the ball and netting a plus-minus of -40 during his first three preseason games. But it seems like James Jr was finally able to flip the switch during his first starting role against the Golden State Warriors.

Bronny James finished the game with 17 points, four rebounds, three steals, an assist, and a block during the Lakers’ loss to the Warriors. However, the 20-year-old rookie still had many shortcomings in the game, especially his shooting efficiency, which remained a meager 41.2% from the field. James ended the game with a -37 plus-minus, although he showed some intriguing scoring flashes from his bag.

The 55th pick in this year’s draft showed an array of scoring flashes, with several cuts for layups, floaters, and distance jumpers to round out his bag. With Bronny filling up the stat sheet, Lakers fans were equally thrilled and relieved to see the rookie succeed.
