Naomi Osaka gave a big US Open update ahead of her return to the last Grand Slam event of the year. She will take part in the season’s final Major after two years and will enter the tournament’s main draw thanks to a wildcard. As a two-time winner at the event, Osaka is more than excited about her return.
The Japanese pro returned on tour this year after a prolonged break from tennis. The 26-year-old first took a mental health break followed by a pregnancy break.
Since her return to action, Osaka has built her form little by little, though she is still not at her best. She was impressive in the clay court swing but it was followed by a slip in form. At the Canadian Open, she failed to go past the second round, and at the Cincinnati Open, she could not come through the qualifiers.
Her latest loss was against Ashlyn Krueger in the second round of the qualifying in Cincinnati. The defeat means she is return to action next at the US Open, a tournament she won in 2018 and 2020. Now, Osaka has revealed a major update related to the Grand Slam.
She recently posted a message on social media where she revealed that she was excited about her new outfit for the US Open, which was done in collaboration with Nike. According to her, it is the best outfit that she has ever worn.

Naomi Osaka reveals her biggest issues since returning to tennis
Naomi Osaka returned to tennis at the start of this year and has since been trying to find her best form. However, she has had more first-round exits than she would have liked. She believes that the reason for it is her body.
Osaka has said that not very worried about the losses or her poor form this year but complained that she did not feel like she was feeling good about herself physically. She explained that she hit the balls softer than before and how mentally draining it was.
It's a strange feeling, missing balls I shouldn't miss, hitting balls softer than I remember I used to. I try to tell myself, 'It's fine you're doing great. Just get through this one and keep pushing.' Mentally it's really draining through.Naomi Osaka said on Instagram
She has failed to reach the third round of a Grand Slam this year and will be hoping to do better at Flushing Meadows later this month.
