The Saturday night football matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals was not one without its share of ups and downs. It was a crucial game for both teams as they hope to make their way to the playoffs and by no means did it disappoint. Bo Nix and Marvin Mims Jr. connected on a 25-yard touchdown in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, and the Broncos sent the game into overtime.
Fortunately, Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals got an opportunity to go first on offense in overtime and secure the win. The quarterback set his team up in field goal range and they were one field goal away from securing the win except kicker Cade York blew it.
York missed the 30-yard field goal and Joe Burrow was not happy. The quarterback was enraged and it seemed as though he yelled “ONE F***ING JOB. GOD DAMN!” At that moment, it was not just Burrow who reacted this way, the entirety of the Bengals fanbase probably responded similarly. However, this must be taken with a grain of salt as there is the likelihood of a fan seated close to the broadcast booth having yelled this.

Joe Burrow went on to lead the Bengals to a win in overtime
At that moment, it seemed like the game was over and Bo Nix would secure a win after leading the Broncos to a successful offensive drive. However, the Bengals’ defense which has been terrible all season long regrouped and managed to keep Denver in check. The team failed to reach field goal range and the Bengals regained possession.
That was the game as Joe Burrow went on to lead his team to a successful touchdown drive as he connected with Tee Higgins to keep the team’s playoff hopes alive. It is ridiculous to think that the quarterback is not in the MVP conversation as he has been lights out this season. Last night, he had 412 yards and 3 touchdowns with 0 turnovers.
With this win, Cincinnati is 8-8 on the season. The team needs to win their final game next week and hope that Denver loses to the Chiefs. In addition to this, the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts will need to lose at least one of their next two games. The Bengals have defied all odds and put themselves in a position to make a playoff push solely on the efforts of the offense. Their defense has been dismal and the special teams too have let them down when games come down to the wire.
