Anna Horford thinks Bronny James is undeserving of a roster spot
Los Angeles Lakers rookie, Bronny James can’t seem to catch a break as new hostile messages targeted at him surfaced online. Anna Horford recently shared her disapproval of Bronny’s entry to the league, citing hints of nepotism and connection for her disappointment.
In a deleted tweet on X, Anna blasted the Lakers rookie, labeling him underserving of the team’s roster spot. She then went on to sympathize with the undrafted players of the recent draft, calling them victims of nepotism. Horford is the sister of the Boston Celtics forward, Al Horford.
Anna wrote her initial message acknowledging the feat the father-son duo of LeBron James and Bronny accomplished. Her tone then immediately shifts to demeaning the Lakers guard. Ironic enough, her original tweet accompanied a post noting Bronny taking home the net from the basket where he earned his first league points.
Bronny James playing with his dad is cool & all, but my heart breaks for the players who didn’t get drafted or who are stuck in the G-League knowing they’re legitimately stronger players than him.

Although the Laker’s 55th pick wouldn’t have any noise in any other year, resentment seems to be reserved for James’ son. The 20-year-old has appeared in two games this season, totaling only 8 minutes of appearance. Following the progression of most second-round picks, Bronny is likely to split his time with the Laker’s G-League affiliate team.
Anna Horford defends her degrading comments on Bronny James
Horford’s sister took no breaks to defend her family name in the fiasco. Justifying her tweet to be strictly about nepotism present in the NBA, she even brought up Thanasis Antetokounmpo in her response.

Thanasis is infamously known by fans for allegedly getting signed by the Milwaukee Bucks due to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s request (a claim widely thrown out by former Bucks players and veterans).
She also issued a reply to a comment downplaying her brother’s credibility in the league. Anna was quick to flaunt her brother’s accolade in her attempt to cover up her previous comments. The original comment she was replying to was a sarcastic retort that used Horford as the scapegoat for taking other talented players’ spots.
