Iga Swiatek will be heading to the French Open in one of the best forms of her career. The Polish star will be aiming to defend the Roland Garros title with a newly released On kit with a design she hasn’t worn this season.

She began her clay season less than her expectations. After hoping to defend the Stuttgart Open, she exited in the semifinals after losing to Elena Rybakina.

However, as expected, she regrouped, keeping in mind that she had already won two titles before the Madrid Masters 1000 event. She didn’t drop a set in the Spanish capital and went on to win the title, beating Aryna Sabalenka.

A few days later, the 22-year-old repeated her Madrid feat in Rome and never lost a set, even in the final. She is now the first woman since Serena Williams in 2013 to win the Madrid Open and the Rome Masters. Her focus is on winning Roland Garros for the third time. She defeated Karolina Muchova last year to clinch the third.

However, she will be in a new outfit as she aims to claim her fifth Grand Slam at just 22. The new outfit was released by On, featuring an ombre white, red, and purple design. Interestingly enough, the design doesn’t only meet the standards of Swiatek but also the adoration of fans. She had earlier revealed that she works with On for every new kit, admitting that she loves purple.

I love purple. And I love green. Those are two colors that, in everyday life, are hard to wear. I love purple, though; I’m pretty sure I’m going to convince On to do something purple in the future.

The Polish star already has four titles this season and looks to have cemented her place in the No. 1 WTA rankings. She will not be defending any points ahead of Roland Garros, which begins on May 26, because she’s the defending champion.

Iga Swiatek aiming to work on her grass game after clay season

The French Open will be the last clay tournament ahead of the grass season. Iga Swiatek has already revealed that she is looking forward to working on her grass form following her clay success.

Last season, she failed to win a grass surface tournament, reaching the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.

So, yeah, it would be really great, you know, for this kind of event to happen, in the women’s game. I think it would be interesting, but I got to work on my grass games anyway.
