Despite retiring at the 2022 US Open, Serena Williams has continued to remain in the spotlight. She recently teased her fans about a possible comeback to tennis, just nine months after giving birth to her second daughter.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion has devoted her time as a businesswoman since retiring from tennis. She debuted her makeup line in April and a venture capital firm for women, including various early-stage companies that she founded. However, she seems on the verge of returning to the sport after writing a cryptic message on X (formerly known as Twitter).
During her career, she bagged 23 major titles, one title away from Margaret Court’s 24 Grand Slams. She won all four slams, six US Opens, seven Australian Opens, three French Opens, and seven Wimbledons.

Notably, the former tennis pro is still regarded as one of the greatest female players ever to grace the court. Added to that, she amassed 73 singles titles, 14 major doubles titles, was No. 1 for 319 weeks, and more than $94 million in prize money.
With that being said, returning to tennis seems unlikely for the 42-year-old legend, but there can still be a surprise. At the Sunshine Doubles in March, she was in the stands at the Miami Open for the match between Grigor Dimitrov and Alexander Zverev.
Serena Williams to become the fourth woman to host ESPYs show
Serena Williams is set to become the fourth woman to host the ESPYs awards show. The American legend, who has won the award 12 times during her illustrious career, will now be the host on July 11.
The 42-year-old was excited at the achievement, admitting it was a dream come true for her after hoping to host the ESPYs while still an athlete.
This is a dream come true for me, and something I've wanted to do for as long as I can remember. It has been a sensational year for sports and an unprecedented one for female athletes. I can't wait to celebrate everyone onstage in July.Serena Williams said in a satement
However, former auto-racing star Diana Patrick was the first woman to host the show in 2018, a few months after her retirement.
