Josh Allen has a mature and well-thought-out response to being ranked as the most overrated quarterback in the NFL by an ESPN poll conducted where 103 NFL players took part. The Buffalo Bills quarterback also racked up the most points on the way to being crowned the most trash-talking QB in the league.
The 28-year-old received 11 votes over Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa’s 10 votes to be named the most overrated QB. Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence followed them in fourth and fifth positions. Allen had a striking majority when it came to the most trash-talking QB. He led the way with 26 votes. Baker Mayfield and Aaron Rodgers cleaned up second and third in this list.
In the podcast with Adam Schein, Allen revealed the opinion of 11 players who are not even on his team doesn’t matter. He further added that this also means he is doing something right. But, he’s pissed not being invited to do these polls, to add his input.
I am mad at, however, I am never ever invited to participate in the anonymous survey. So, that that's where I find it frustrating. I wanna be a part of these surveys and give my input.Josh Allen cites in the interview

On being asked whether he would use this as a motivation, Allen, yet again, answered honestly with a befitting response. He wished he could say so but he has another reason to motivate himself. Allen added that he’s going to play football the way he always has.
The fact is, Adam, I'm going into year seven. I'm coming out of a small farm town called Firebaugh, California. I had no offers, went the junior college route, ended up having one offer, University of Wyoming. Got drafted seventh overall by the Buffalo Bills. So again, I'm in a spot where not many people, me and my family, the only people who ever thought I'd ever be here. So, I'm going to keep running with that. It served me well and I'm just going to play football the way I know it.Allen adds in the interview on asked about motivation
So you’re telling me, I was voted as the #1 … best trash talker??? Let’s goooooo!!! pic.twitter.com/Tlz8M7g195

Earlier, He also had a hilarious tweet on being voted the most trash-talking QB. Alongside a GIF, he captioned, “So you’re telling me, I was voted as the #1 … best trash talker??? Let’s goooooo!!!” It’s a fresh feeling to see a person taking this in a good stride.
Are turnovers the main reason for Josh Allen being named the most overrated QB?
One of the reasons quoted for why Josh Allen is the most overrated among the lot is “too many turnovers,” which is a valid criticism. According to ESPN, since entering the league, Josh Allen has recorded 102 interceptions, the most by any.
In the last season, Allen recorded a career-high 18 interceptions. Aside from 2019, He has had 10 or more interceptions every year. He further undergoes scrutiny for 78 interceptions in 94 regular season games, which is around 0.83 per game. However, it should also be highlighted that Allen almost cleans up the game well when it comes to the postseason. In ten games, he has only 4 interceptions including zero interceptions in three seasons. However, the NFL latest lines suggest he would be a great addition to the team with them winning more matches with him being a part.
Allen, the QB who needs to dethrone Mahomes, has reasons outside his play for why the Bills can’t make it to the big game. He has consistently shown up, making him the fourth-best QB as per the survey. He has 221 combined passing, receiving, and rushing TDs which is second to only Patrick Mahomes’ 231 in the same timeframe.
His impressive postseason statistics include a completion percentage of 64.6%, 2,723 passing yards, 21 touchdown passes, and only four interceptions. Additionally, he has contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 563 yards and five touchdowns in just 10 games. Allen is committed to the game, making the Bills a Super Bowl contender.
