Former WWE Champion edits his mother out from Christmas family photo after she refused to hug him on Raw

On this week’s Raw episode, Kofi Kingston‘s mother gave him the cold shoulder. Just a couple of days removed from the segment, the situation between Kingston and his mother hasn’t improved. Moreover, the relationship has seemingly soured during the ongoing Holidays season. The former WWE Champion sent a message on Christmas Day and, well, refused to acknowledge the existence of his own mother.
Kingston took to his X account to wish his followers and the WWE Universe a Merry Christmas. In addition to that, The New Day member posted a few family photos. In one of the pictures with his whole family, Kingston has scribbled over his mother. Needless to say, Kingston and his tag team partner, Xavier Woods‘, betrayal of Big E has not been met well by fans and wrestlers alike.
Since kicking Big E out of The New Day, the duo has been booed out of buildings and kicked out of the locker room. In fact, Kofi Kingston wasn’t even spared in his hometown on this week’s Raw. The 43-year-old star brought his mother from Ghana, flying her out for the Holidays. As the crowd voiced its displeasure loudly, Kingston’s mother rejected her own son. She refused to hug Kingston and eventually walked out of the building.

What’s hilarious amidst this ongoing drama is that neither Woods nor Kingston is willing to accept they are wrong. Backstage on Raw, Dominik Mysterio, a man who turned on his father, thought that The New Day crossed the line. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the former Tag Team Champions, as they’ll look forward to winning the titles again.
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods set to feud with the LWO?
As mentioned above, the WWE superstars banned The New Day from the men’s locker room. The person to deliver this news to the duo was none other than veteran Rey Mysterio. Obviously, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods were not happy with how things played out.
To exact revenge on the locker room leader, Woods and Kingston might target Mysterio next. Now that they’ve failed to convince the WWE Universe, The New Day will have no problem in facing the WWE Hall of Famer. As such, this would bring in the rest of the LWO into the equation.
Fans can expect Woods and Kingston to compete in tag team matches against the faction, most notably Mysterio and Dragon Lee. Furthermore, this would probably lead to either team moving one step closer to the World Tag Team Championships on Raw.
