Caitlin Clark going ‘WOKE’ gets distasteful bashing from Jason Whitlock
After taking Caitlin Clark's side throughout her rookie WNBA season, Jason Whitlock now seems to be rethinking his stance.
Jason Whitlock thinks Caitlin Clark has sold out to WNBA Woke culture
Caitlin Clark becoming Time magazine’s Athlete of the Year was one of her crowning achievements as an athlete. The WNBA superstar, however, came under criticism from one section of fans who felt her interview with the magazine meant she was bowing down to ‘woke’ culture.
The likes of Megyn Kelly suggested that Clark calling herself a recipient of ‘white privilege’ and asking media and sponsors to ensure black athletes were not left behind was an act of bowing down to that culture. It is the culture that Kelly and many MAGA supporters were vehemently against during the recent US presidential elections.
Another MAGA supporter and critic of the ‘woke culture’ is former ESPN analyst Jason Whitlock. Throughout the WNBA season, he was critical of athletes who used extreme physicality towards Clark. But when he saw the Indiana Fever superstar at the Time magazine award show, he took to social media to express his views.
The faux celebration of Caitlin Clark wearing this slut dress is how you know she’s been captured. She looks ridiculous. She’s off brand. She’s girl next door but they want your daughters thinking you have to slut it up no matter how accomplished you are. pic.twitter.com/w46AGisqNd

The analyst came under heavy fire from fans and his post drew more than 1000 replies, most of which criticized his distasteful comment. Many felt he had taken the narrative too far in undermining Caitlin Clark for her choices of clothes.
Jason Whitlock goes off again against Caitlin Clark
Those brickbats from fans did not seem to deter Jason Whitlock. First, he questioned if he had said anything wrong. When that drew some negative responses, the 57-year-old went on to his program, Fearless with Jason Whitlock, to talk about Clark.
Caitlin Clark doubled-down on the woke narrative. She’s undermined the passion. People like me, who are upset, are no longer going to watch. pic.twitter.com/YXoEUM7jUH

Whitlock was particularly annoyed at Caitlin Clark for suggesting she did not like Christine Brennan‘s line of questioning to DiJonai Carrington. He feels she has sold out to the very women who have hit her the hardest.
Now he feels a section of fans like him won’t be watching the WNBA next season. He also questioned how the ratings will be next year when all those fans do not turn up. The analyst went on to post a picture of the WNBA Rookie of the Year with Megan Rapinoe-esque pink hair, suggesting that by embracing the ‘wokeness’ Clark is on her way to that.
