After a record-breaking debut WNBA season, Angel Reese has spent part of the offseason attending games in various sports. Recently, she attended the Orlando Magic’s home game against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday and the Magic won 94-90 with her presence appearing to bring good luck.
Angel Reese has gained a reputation as a “lucky charm” for sports teams. She has attended several NFL and NBA games this season, and prior to the Magic home win, home teams have boasted a 6-0 record when she’s in attendance, the number currently stands at 7-0.

Meanwhile, in her first off-season as a pro, she has increased her public profile which has led to endorsement opportunities. She recently partnered with Instagram to promote their new “Instagram Notes” feature and got her own her larger-than-life billboard in Times Square.
The Queen of Rebounds is coming off an impressive rookie season with the Sky, where she averaged 13.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game before a season-ending wrist injury. She finished second in the Rookie of the Year race behind Indiana Fever rival, Caitlin Clark.
Angel Reese prepares for Unrivaled League debut
In addition to attending games during the off-season, Angel Reese is actively preparing for the upcoming Unrivaled league in January. After a standout rookie season in the WNBA, where she was trolled for her poor shots finishing, she is focused on addressing the criticisms of her game with a recent social media video that showed her honing her post moves and layups in the gym.

She has joined the Unrivaled league, which was founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, alongside fellow Chicago Sky player Marina Mabrey. The league promises competitive salaries and has attracted top WNBA talent.
With 30 players announced, including Reese, rumors have suggested WNBA ROTY Caitlin Clark may also join the roster. The league is scheduled to start next year after securing TV rights with TNT.
Reese’s offseason training comes after she had a left-hand surgery in September. Now cleared to intensify her activities, she’s working to improve her offensive skills and hopefully continue her rivalry with Clark.
