Micah Parsons calls Giants “stupid” for trading Saquon Barkley to Eagles
Micah Parsons made the Giants regret letting Saquon Barkley join division-rival Eagles for almost nothing, as Barkley is now causing major damage.

Micah Parsons believes the New York Giants’ decision to let Saquon Barkley join the Philadelphia Eagles was a big mistake. The Cowboys pass rusher may be on the sidelines due to injury, but Parsons pointed out what everyone can see about Barkley’s transformation since moving back to Pennsylvania.
Barkley, since joining the Eagles, has been their main yard gainer on the ground with 157 carries for 957 yards (second in the league) and 6 touchdowns. He is only behind Ravens Derrick Henry, who has 168 carries for 1052 yards and 11 touchdowns.
The 26-year-old was amazing in New York, but since arriving in Philly, he has been exceptional. Parsons, although he went to Penn State, never shared the field with Barkley but has faced him several times wearing the Cowboys jersey. So Parsons understands how dangerous the two-time Pro Bowler can be.
After Barkley’s jaw-dropping display in Eagles week 9 over the Jaguars, Parsons addressed the elephant in the room.

Micah Parsons accused the Giants of not appreciating Saquon Barkley
Giants owner John Mara wanted to keep Barkley, but he became a salary cap casualty. However, even before that, the Giants forced him to play under the franchise tag for the 2023 season without agreeing to pay him appropriate compensation for his output.
After the season ended, Barkley became a free agent, and the Eagles agreed to a three-year $37.75 million deal with $26 million guaranteed that could increase to $46.75 million with bonuses.
Parsons then highlighted that Barkley never lost confidence in himself but in the system itself, which was the primary motivation to leave the Giants. So far, he has been proven correct. While the Eagles are 6-2, the Giants lost their seventh game of the season during the weekend against the Commanders.
The season is only halfway through, and the Eagles are still playing catch-up to the Commanders. Ironically, they will face the Cowboys in week 10, but it’s unclear if Parsons will play. One can be certain quarterback Dak Prescott will not be available after pulling his hamstring in the Falcons’ defeat.
