UFC CEO Dana White has his favorites when it comes to UFC events. He recently revealed that more than the big UFC pay-per-view fights, he likes the Contender Series. This is likely because the new talent is ready to prove their hunger and desire by putting everything on the line.

Dana White recently was a guest on the Pound 4 Pound podcast hosted by Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo. There he revealed that although he gets excited about the big PPV events, the UFC CEO cannot wait for Dana White’s Contender Series to start again.

Dana White’s Contender Series acts as a platform for up-and-coming fighters to showcase their skills. They fight in hopes of earning a contract with the UFC. Aspiring fighters compete in the presence of Dana White and other UFC officials who evaluate their performance to pick the best talent. It began in 2017 and has become a popular avenue for fighters to break into the UFC.

Dana White said that it is a golden opportunity for fighters to earn a bunch of money and change their families’ lives forever. Despite the fact that the UFC has often been criticized because of fighter pay and rigid contracts. Allegedly, these rigid contracts prevent fighters from renegotiating once they find relative success in the game. However, some of the top fighters in the UFC like Sean O’Malley, Jamahal Hill, and Geoff Neal got into the UFC through the Contender Series.

The UFC CEO claims to have the best team in the world. He said no matter if it is the NFL or any other organization his team outperforms any other competitor in sports entertainment. But maintaining such a ginormous organization is hectic. White revealed that the only things that he focuses on daily are scouting for new talent, making the best matchups possible, organizing the venue, and in production.
