In a rare public appearance together, golf great Tiger Woods on Tuesday reunited with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren. The former couple put aside their personal differences and came together to celebrate the recent golf accomplishment of their son, Charlie Woods.
Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were in attendance to celebrate with their son, Charlie Woods in Palm Beach, Florida. The young Woods was part of the high school state golf championship-winning team and received a ring.
According to reports from Golfweek, Charlie Woods would fire a score of 78 and 76 on the two days of action while representing his high school team. During the ceremony later, Woods was seen standing aside as his son celebrated with his mother. He was also seen hugging his Charlie as they rejoiced together. Despite their divorce in 2010, Woods and Nordegren are reported to have been on good terms when it comes to parenting their kids. During their son’s recent appearance at the Cognizant Classic qualifier, Nordegren was spotted supporting him from the sideways.
Meanwhile, the 15-time major champion recently played together with his son at the PNC Championship in 2023. Though Team Woods failed to emerge victorious at the event, the golfer was pleased to have the opportunity to tee off his son.
Tiger Woods recently spotted alongside Charlie at American Junior Golf Association
As Charlie Woods continues to try and follow in the footsteps of his legendary father, he recently took part in the Will Lowery Junior Championship, an event part of the American Junior Golf Association. As the 15-year-old made his AJGA debut last week, his father Tiger Woods was spotted cheering him on from the sidelines.
Playing on a sponsor event, the young golfer finished tied for 32nd place among the 50 participants. He would go on to finish 21-over in the 54-hole event. Despite struggling in the event a bit, fans would extend their support towards him.
The appearance of Tiger Woods at this event also sparked joyous scenes among fans. The 48-year-old was last seen on the golf course at the Genesis Invitational in February. His non-appearance at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship had sparked concerns regarding his health.
However, Woods was later reported to be in Bahamas and lead the PGA Tour’s recent meeting with Saudi chief Yasir Al-Rumayyan. The two of them were even reported to have teed off together at his golf course in Albany.
As for Woods’s next appearance on the golf course, he was recently listed in the field for the 2024 Masters. This confirmed that he will return to golfing action next month in April.
