World No.1 Scottie Scheffler wins The Masters Tournament for the 2nd time in his career. He joined Tiger Woods in an exclusive club of players who won major championships while being ranked as No.1. Scheffler’s victory comes after an emotional journey at Augusta as he continuously mentioned his withdrawal in case of an emergency.

The emergency being his wife Meredith, who is expected to give birth to their first child this month. He continuously stated how he’d withdraw from the tournament if his wife went into labor. In an emotional message to his Meredith, Scheffler said, “I’m looking forward to getting home and celebrate with Meredith.”

Now with the conclusion of The Masters tournament, the World No.1 is getting ready to experience what it feels like to be a father for the first time. His emotional message to his wife back home in Dallas touched many fan’s heart,

He even added that golf will now become his fourth priority as his wife and his child will remain the most important ones. He choked up when Jim Nantz asked the 2024 Masters winner what it feels like to win the event. Scheffler said he “can’t put into words” what it means to wear the green jacket for the second time and to be expecting to be a father for the first time.

It’s an Augusta tradition to have last year’s The Masters winner put on the green jacket to the current one. However, Jon Rahm’s facial expression during Scottie Scheffler’s ceremony did not sit well with the fans.

With his 2nd green jacket win, Scottie Scheffler becomes the 4th youngest golfer to win The Masters after Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods, and Seve Ballesteros. He won $3.6 million from the event’s $20 million prize purse.
