The brilliance of Federico Chiesa will now be on display at Anfield. The 26-year-old Italian forward has agreed terms with Liverpool to become their second signing of the Arne Slot era.

Isolated from the Juventus squad and given no space in Thiago Motta‘s plans, the Italian had no other option but to consider a move away from the Serie A giants. As per Fabrizio Romano, Chiesa ‘immediately’ accepted a four-year contract offered by the Reds’ management.

Liverpool will pay Juventus a €13 million fee with add-ons as well. Liverpool have beaten the likes of FC Barcelona and other Saudi Arabian clubs to land the player. Chiesa has made 131 appearances in all competitions for Juventus, having found the net on 32 occasions.

I'm really happy and ready for this adventure. I want to thank the Juventus fans. I'll keep you in my heart.

Chiesa will become Liverpool’s second summer signing after bringing in Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. However, the Georgian international will not fly to Liverpool until next summer.

Juventus reportedly agree terms to sign Jadon Sancho on loan

With the departure of Federico Chiesa, a vacancy opens up in Thiago Motta’s squad for an attacker. Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho fits Motta’s profile for a skilful and speedy winger. The former Italian international has inspired his side to victory in both of their League games of the new season.

Fans are convinced that the manager is the one to lead the side after Massimiliano Allegri parted ways with the club. Even though Juventus can only sign Sancho on loan, the club need Manchester United to agree to pay part of his wages as well. That being said, Juventus also need to force two departures of which one is already a reality. With Chiesa gone, Juve now need to help Filip Kostic find a new home.

While certain sources claim that Juventus have already agreed terms to bring Sancho on loan, there is no official confirmation from either club. Fans are thrilled at the prospect of Sancho moving to Italy. Juventus have already completed the signings of Matheus Cunha, Teun Koopmeiners and Nicolas Gonzalez. As things stand, Juventus are the only Serie A club that have won their first two games of the season.
