Simply put, things aren’t going well for Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti. The Los Blancos suffered yet another humiliation at home as they fell 3-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League. The club was already on the back of a 4-0 defeat to rivals FC Barcelona in La Liga as they hosted Italian giants Milan.
The game started with an early goal for the hosts, as Malick Thiaw‘s thumping header found its way into the net past Andriy Lunin. Both Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger were thoroughly beaten as the German headed home for the opener. Vinicius Jr. pulled one back for the hosts as he comfortably dispatched a penalty just ten minutes after going behind.
His Panenka attempt down the middle completely fooled Mike Maignan as he dove to his right. Alvaro Morata‘s return to the Bernabeu was bittersweet for Real as he scored the go-ahead goal from a rebound. With the score 2-1 at half-time, fans expected a turnaround by the hosts.

However, supporters were in for disappointment as Tijjani Reijnders took the game away from Real Madrid’s reach. His impressive left-footed finish meant that Real have now lost back-to-back games for the first time since May 2023.
Real Madrid boss reacts to painful defeat at Bernabeu
With a series of disappointing results and a lack of cohesion in the squad, several fans are calling for Carlo Ancelotti to be sacked. Following the defeat to Milan, Ancelotti faced the press as he labelled what his team need to fix if they are to get back to winning ways.
While the Italian had his own reasons, many fans argued that he still refuses to use both Endrick and Arda Guler after they were left on the bench last night.
Several fans also turned against Kylian Mbappe as he failed to find the net once again.

The Frenchman is nothing but a shadow of his former self at Real Madrid, failing to score and is ‘disrupting’ the balance of Ancelotti’s team. Real are currently 17th in the Champions League and nine points behind League leaders Barcelona in La Liga.
