Over the years, Fury has established a reputation as one of the big-money fights in heavyweight boxing. His fights against Oleksandr Usyk, organized under the Saudi delegate Turki Alalshikh during the Riyadh Season, exemplify his status. However, following his recent defeat to the Ukrainian boxing champion last weekend, Fury initially considered retirement.

Amid the retirement rumors, Fury expressed disappointment with the judges’ scorecards, claiming that Usyk received a “Christmas gift” in the form of his win. Many prominent figures in the boxing community believed it was a close fight, but Usyk closely edged it out. Additionally, many continue to praise the British boxer as one of the toughest heavyweight boxers.

Eddie Hearn claims Tyson Fury is ‘still at the peak’ of his powers to clash against Anthony Joshua

Over the years, Tyson Fury has defeated numerous formidable opponents and even maintained an undefeated record before facing Oleksandr Usyk. Despite experiencing two consecutive defeats in his professional boxing career, many still regard Fury as a great boxer. Eddie Hearn, the CEO of Matchroom Boxing, is one of the prominent figures who holds this belief.

Interestingly, Hearn is the promoter of Anthony Joshua, a leading British heavyweight boxer. Following Fury’s recent defeat, discussions about a potential fight between Joshua and the ‘Gypsy King’ have begun. In this context, the Matchroom boss recently expressed his views on the matter. Hearn confidently stated that a potential clash between Fury and Joshua could break several records.

The reality is there’s only one fight for Tyson Fury and that’s Anthony Joshua. It’s the biggest fight probably in the history of British boxing… I think Tyson Fury is still potentially at the peak of his powers, just not good enough to beat Oleksandr Usyk tonight. But for me, AJ against Fury is the one. It’s the one at Wembley.

As a result, it will be intriguing to see how the situation develops around Fury and Joshua moving forward.
