Two of the best heavyweights, Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, went down the stretch for their DAZN-streamed PPV rematch. Usyk though remained undefeated and undisputed as the best of the best. The face-punching action started this morning at 11 a.m. ET. The pay-per-view (PPV) headliner tentatively took shape around 6 p.m. ET.

Ballooning over 6’9″ and with much more hydration, Tyson Fury stood tall over his foe. Usyk was the first jab and got to a quick tactile clinic. But the Brit giant showed no signs of geriatric wear and tear. Guess his hillside cardio habits are good for the extra upper body timber, The Morecambe boxer Fury kept pawning off until Oleksandr Usyk could flick in a jab or two. But ‘The Cat’ pounced true and found more success.

Common heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua even had them split every second frame equally. A few sure counter lefts and crisp 1-2s from Usyk made sure Tyson Fury and his 1-2 combos were nulled out. The Ukrainian proved that size doesn’t always matter and headhunted for shots. He swiped and landed up top all through rounded 7-9 and finished pretty. Fury found his pockets of success, but not as frequently.

Usyk, a late-round opener, hurt him hard and heavy in R7 and again in 10. Both went at it during the championship rounds for Usyk’s WBC, WBA, and WBO titles. When the dust settled for the Fury vs. Usyk 2 DAZN affair, Usyk defeated Tyson Fury via unanimous decision (116-112, 116-112, 116-112). Consequently, the fans are here for it.

Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) is near the top of everyone’s pound-for-pound list. He has also been undefeated at both Cruiserweight and Heavyweight for his entire pro tenure. Fury was the same until he hit a barrier against Oleksandr this past May. Now that the calm and carnivorous cat has cut out the King once again, here is what fans think of it.

Usyk was the holder of every boxing belt of significance until the IBF stripped him for not immediately facing Daniel Dubois. That’s not of much import now as Dubois himself is eager and ready with a call-up. As for Fury, 36, he faces the harsh truth of another setback.

Yet again the second-best man in the ring, he however, has the safety net of facing former flame WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titleholder Joshua. He could go for an all-time “Battle of Britain” or contemplate if or not there’s more to prove with the risk of injury. As for Usyk, turning 38 in a month, the sky is the limit.
