Full Name Vasiliy Lomachenko

Vasiliy Lomachenko is among the greatest boxers in the Lighter weight classes. He was born in Ukraine during its Soviet Union days. His father wanted him to take traditional Ukranian Dance Classes before boxing. Lomachenko attributes his excellent movement inside the boxing ring to his experience in the Ukranian dance form. He also had substantial gymnastic experience before entering the boxing ring. Lomachenko is called “Loma” by his fans.

Vasiliy Lomachenko is the greatest amateur boxer of all time. He amassed a record of 396 wins and one loss. He avenged the loss twice in his later days as an amateur boxer. Loma won the Gold medals in the Beijing and London Olympics. He also won gold medals at the Boxing World Championships in 2009 and 2011. He made his professional debut in 2013. Lomachenko tied the record with Saensak Muangsurin for winning a world title in the fewest professional fights. Loma won the WBO featherweight championship in his third fight.

He has exceptional hand speed, timing, accuracy, creativity, athleticism, defense, and footwork. He draws inspiration from Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Roy Jones Jr.
