Whether it be on the field or off the field, fans can’t seem to catch a break as ‘Sho-Time’ continues to shock the world with astounding news. His 10-year $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers dropped as a bombshell of an announcement on social media in December 2023.

However, he now seems to have gained something even bigger than that. Sho-Time recently took to his Instagram account to announce his marriage to a Japanese girl in February. Although the fans were curious to find out more about his mysterious wife, no news on her was made public till now. In the latest X post, it was revealed that Shohei Ohtani walked down the aisle with Mamiko Tanaka, a Japanese basketball player.

Yes, that’s right, Ohtani is now married. The 29-year-old stunned the baseball community when he informed them about his marriage. This massive announcement from him comes just two days after he made his Dodgers debut against the Chicago White Sox.

At first, the baseball star only mentioned that his wife is Japanese and she is from his native country. However, nothing much was revealed till now. According to the latest X post, Shohei Ohtani has exchanged rings with Japanese basketball player Mamiko Tanaka.

This is though not the first time he has been tight-lipped on his dating life. He was previously rumored to be dating softball pitcher Kamalani Dung. Despite the heavy speculations, she herself later claimed that they were never in a relationship.
