“He’s Russell Wilson 2.0!” Super Bowl champion Amani Tooper blasted Caleb Williams’ leadership moves
Amani Toomer believes a rookie like Caleb Williams should focus on earning the team's trust first before ordering them to do other stuff.

Amani Toomer didn’t take kindly to Caleb Williams ordering around his fellow Chicago Bears teammates. Toomer compared Williams’ actions with Russell Wilson’s.
Being the quarterback of a team naturally elevates players to the role of leader in the locker room. However, veterans don’t prefer taking orders from a rookie, even if he’s the quarterback.
Amani Toomer was on the recent episode of the Craig Carton Show where he called out Caleb Williams for instructing Bears players to keep the training ground clean. The former New York Giants wide receiver deemed Williams’ demand to be out of line for a rookie.
He’s Russell Wilson 2.0. This is not going to go over well. If you came in the locker room, I’ve been in this locker room for eight years, and some rookie’s going to come in who hasn’t played one snap, wearing the fingernail polish, he’s going to come in here and tell me, who’s been here through the struggle, that I need to clean up? How about, rookie, you clean up after me? Don’t give me this crap.Amani Toomer ranted
"He's Russell Wilson 2.0. This is not gonna go over well."

The Super Bowl winner highlighted Williams’ habit of polishing his nails, which, as per his own testimony, helps him to keep focus on football. Williams endured severe hatred on social media following the revelation, but the Heisman winner has kept the outside noise out from affecting his Moxy.
Why did Caleb Williams ask the Bears teammates to clean the training ground?
Before losing his cool on camera, Amani Toomer should have listened to what the Bears players had to say about Williams’ request. They did not seem to mind it too much, unlike the Super Bowl winner.
Safety Kevin Byard was one of the first to speak about it publicly while appearing on the 670 The Score’s “Mully & Haugh Show.” The former All-Pro pointed out there’s more to playing football than just touchdowns and interceptions.
[The] first thing he [Caleb Williams] said was, ‘Hey, we’re all grown men here right?… We’re getting a little too sloppy. We’re leaving water bottles, towels, and all those types of things around. Custodians have a lot of square footage they have to cover in this whole building. Let’s try to help them out by cleaning up after ourselves’.Kevin Byard said
In Byard’s eyes, taking care of the little things can go a long way in the grand scheme of things.
When you want to be a great player, you always focus on the little details. Not just the details of the play, but the details of everything around you.Kevin Byard added
Caleb Williams asked his Bears teammates to clean up after themselves better in the locker room because he thought they were leaving too many bottles and towels for custodians and staffers to pick up, Kevin Byard says.

For the last couple of weeks, the Bears players worked hard to prepare for the Hall of Fame game against the Houston Texans on August 1. However, instead of Caleb Williams, backup Tyson Bagent took to start for the Bears.
