LA Knight successfully defended his United States Championship at Crown Jewel last night. It was a stellar battle filled with close falls and counters. However, at one point Knight slipped his foot off the turnbuckles and suffered a nasty fall on the top rope.
After his match, The Megastar joined the Crown Jewel Post-Show to address his possible injury. He explained that he landed on his inner thigh, avoiding any major harm. Knight shared that, rather than celebrating his hard-fought victory, he’s now focused on perfecting this maneuver to avoid future injuries.
The United States Champion promised the WWE Universe to make sure he would not slip while performing this top rope move again. Additionally, this isn’t the first time Knight has botched that move during his performance. He has frequently made serious blunders on the top rope over the past year.

Moreover, it will be interesting to see if the 42-year-old plans to retire this maneuver or not given his failure rate. Nonetheless, it is likely that he is not yet settled with Carmelo Hayes and Andrade. Therefore, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for the United States Champion on SmackDown.
LA Knight wants to face John Cena at WrestleMania 41.
LA Knight has been operating at the top of WWE as the United States Champion. After having a blockbuster year, there were some speculations about the WrestleMania plans of The Megastar. In his recent interview, he namedropped John Cena as his first preference for The Show of Shows in Las Vegas.
Speaking on 105.1 The Bounce, Knight expressed his desire to face John Cena in what could be the latter’s final WrestleMania. He acknowledged the possibility of Cena opting to challenge a World Champion instead but emphasized that he is also willing to pursue the World Title to secure the match.
There were a few interactions between Cena and Knight last year. However, WWE never booked them against each other in a singles match. Therefore, it could be a blockbuster battle of charisma that is possible in the retirement tour of the Greatest of All Time next year.
