This afternoon, the San Francisco 49ers met the Chicago Bears on their home turf in Santa Clara. As part of the pre-match festivities, the renowned foghorn at Levi’s Stadium was fired off by none other than 49ers buff and four-time WWE Women’s Champion, Bayley. She could be seen hyping up the crowd in broad daylight.
The 49ers gave her every single reason to smile as they ran through the out-of-wits Bears, who were fresh off the firing of their head coach, Matt Eberflus. As one could suspect, Seth Rollins hates football at this point. His fave, the Bears, just capped off a bumbling performance to relapse into a seven-match losing streak.
While on the other hand, Bayley‘s 49ers are 6-7 and last in the NFC West standings, having a semblance of hope to make it to the playoffs. Back to her WWE ventures, she’s on the shores of glory yet again. On the back of a resounding first-round win, The Role Model is through to the semifinals of the ongoing women’s US title tournament.
Next Friday on SmackDown, she’ll take on Chelsea Green to inch closer to championship gold. If she does pip Green, Bayley will await the winner of Michin and Tiffany Stratton at Saturday Night’s Main Event. That will be the grand finale. 2024 has been one of the most successful years Bayley’s had in WWE.
At WrestleMania XL, she won the women’s title from Iyo Sky. It was the former Hugger’s singles debut at Mania, and she backed it up in the most rewarding way possible. The fans hailed the 35-year-old’s trail of ascent that was a decade in the making. She’d never forget her WrestleMania moment.
Is Bayley a locker room leader in WWE?
A locker room leader in wrestling is someone who leads the charge of their peers in terms of bridging the gap between them and the office. On the men’s side of things, one could point to a number of guys who fit that description.
But, according to Cody Rhodes, his longtime friend Randy Orton is the male kingpin. However, on the women’s side of things, Rhodes name-dropped Bayley. The Undisputed WWE Champion said that those are two of the names whom everyone looks up to backstage to get things done.
Bayley and Orton have earned the distinction of instructing their fellow wrestlers to step their game up whenever they feel the need to do so. Randy’s inclusion is no surprise. Also, Bayley putting in the hard yards to elevate her standing among the top brass of WWE sounds alright.
