After a tumultuous match, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill reigned supreme at Crown Jewel. The EST kicked things off with Iyo Sky, and the two flaunted the in-ring chemistry they’ve developed over the past few weeks. NXT upstarts, The Meta Girls, viz., Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, soon left their mark. However, Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky leveled things up pretty quickly.

A point came when Sky executed a moonsault on Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, followed by Meta Girl’s high-flying offense to the outside. Lash Legend and Jade Cargill took out each other over the top rope, leaving everyone on the floor at ringside. The action had picked up as there were numerous moving elements in tandem.

Despite a career-defining outing, Legend and Jackson couldn’t quite get the job done. On the other hand, Jade and Bianca, the title holders, banked on their big-match experience to put Niven through the doomsday. Henceforth, they retained the women’s doubles silverware.

Jade and Belair didn’t sleep on the magnitude of the moment and came out unscathed. The two won the women’s tag team gold earlier this year at Backlash. They outlasted Asuka and Kairi Sane to embark on what has been turning out as one of the best title reigns in that division.

In August, at Bash in Berlin, Bianca and Jade stitched another tactical finesse coupled with brute strength to see off The Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. After the show, The Storm got mad at a reporter, stating that she’d become tired of answering questions about AEW. She vowed to restore a semblance of credibility in the women’s tag team division with The EST.

WWE fans laud the women’s tag title match at Crown Jewel

It doesn’t need to be mentioned how the aforementioned women’s tag team match with gold on the line needed to deliver. Having been put on the show immediately after the opening Bloodline shenanigans, which were a tad underwhelming, the women stepped up.

The netizens have showered tons of praise for each of the 8 female superstars who were involved. Many of them said that they topped the Bloodline act. As mentioned above, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson of The Meta Four had a breakout performance at Crown Jewel.

And it was palpable among fans online too, as they wanted the NXT duo to win. Some were upset over Chelsea Green‘s continued trail of misery. Her partner Piper Niven was the one to eat the pinfall loss. It’d be interesting to see what’s next for these women.
