WWE House Shows and post-show dark matches are not treated as canon events within WWE. This results in several shocking moments and team-ups that fans would not get to see on TV. Even still, it was astonishing to see Bianca Belair team up with her longtime rival, Dakota Kai.

After the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air, Bianca Belair and Kai teamed up for a dark match against Pure Fusion Collective, comprising Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark, while Shayna Baszler stayed at ringside. The highlight of the match occurred when the former Women’s Champion stacked all three members of PFC in the corner and punched down on them. The babyfaces eventually picked up the victory after the 35-year-old hit a KOD on Deville.

The EST and Dakota Kai obviously have a ton of history. Damage CTRL had made life a living hell for Belair for several months. In fact, this storyline still comes into play quite often when Bayley interacts with the Women’s Tag Team Champion on the screen. This happened as recently as the latest episode of SmackDown during the opening segment of the show.

Damage CTRL is also currently in a feud with Pure Fusion Collective. The faction had attacked Kai in a backstage segment, which caused her to miss months of WWE programming. Furthermore, they also took out her tag partner, Kairi Sane, a few weeks ago on Raw.

Bianca Belair teams up with Naomi and longtime rival Bayley on SmackDown

The latest episode of SmackDown featured a backstage interview with Bianca Belair and Naomi. The EST thanked her friend for stepping in as a replacement for Jade Cargill to help her defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship last week on SmackDown. The former TNA Knockouts Champion said that she was glad to help, and they would continue to find the culprit behind The Storm’s backstage ambush.

Naomi asserted that it must have been Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, or Candice LeRae who were behind this attack. Thus, they were going to have a six-woman tag team match against them but would require another partner for the same. Out came Bayley, who seemed more than willing to help but first wanted to make sure that she was on good terms with Belair.

The two showed a thumbs-up sign to each other, and they made their entrance for the match. Michael Cole pointed out that this was the first time that this permutation of women had ever teamed up for such a tag match. However, they seemed to be on the same page throughout and won the match after a full Nelson bomb from Naomi to LeRae.
