Cody Rhodes was brutally attacked by Kevin Owens at Saturday Night’s Main Event. After being denied the Undisputed WWE Title, The Prizefighter delivered a brutal ‘Package Piledriver’ to The American Nightmare, resulting in Rhodes being hospitalized for a brief period. However, on last night’s WWE Live Tour in Jacksonville, the champion finally made his return to confront Owens.

The 39-year-old star made his way to the ring wearing a neck brace, symbolizing the aftermath of Owens’ heinous attack. However, as he approached the aisle, Cody Rhodes dramatically removed the brace, signaling his full recovery and determination. The night culminated in a high-stakes Steel Cage Match between the two rivals, in which Rhodes emerged victorious.

Following the match, Rhodes celebrated by hoisting both the Undisputed WWE Title and the Winged Eagle Title. However, an agitated Owens attempted another ambush from behind. This time, Rhodes was prepared and countered with a devastating ‘Cross-Rhodes’ to the Canadian star. With Owens laid out, Rhodes ended the night standing tall, and his head held high in victory.

Moreover, all eyes remain on the next appearance of Rhodes on SmackDown after the house show in Jacksonville. To make up for this, his wife Brandi Rhodes shared a photoshopped picture of The American Nightmare to wish their fans a “Merry Christmas.”

The post included an apologetic caption for wishing fans a belated Christmas, adding a heartfelt touch. The image also appears to cleverly play into the aftermath of Cody’s kayfabe injury in WWE.
