Who is Drew McIntyre wife, Kaitlyn Frohnapfel, and how did they meet?

Drew McIntyre’s story is none less than a fairytale in WWE. After a failed stint, McIntyre left the Stamford based promotion to make a name for himself and then returned to WWE to rise up the ranks and is now referred as one of the top stars of the company. However, not a lot of people know about his personal life that McIntyre is currently married to Kaitlyn Frohnapfel, who is the Scottish Warrior’s second wife.

Drew McIntyre and Kaitlyn got married in 2016, after the latter helped The Scottish Psychopath to recover from a career-threatening injury that he suffered after leaving WWE in 2014. To those unaware, McIntyre suffered a fatal back injury in which two of his vertebras were damaged that put his wrestling career in a serious jeopardy.

At such a crucial time, Kaitlyn, who is a practising doctor, stayed by McIntyre’s side and helped him recover quickly and since then McIntyre has never looked back. After returning to WWE in 2017, McIntyre proved his worth by defeating Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship. Drew is currently considered one of the top-tier superstars of the company, including Roman Reigns,Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, Sheamus and many more.

McIntyre and Kaitlyn both currently reside in Tampa, Florida, and had met at a bar in 2015. The couple is now married for more than 5 years and are living happily with each other. The two do not have any kids till now. Before this, McIntyre was married to former TNA wrestler Taryn Terrell, both got engaged in 2009 before tying the knot in May,2010 in Las Vegas. But, the couple announced their divorce in 2011.

Drew McIntyre was once “punished” for being involved in a Domestic Violence incident with his Ex-Wife

WWE had great plans for Drew McIntyre when he had returned to the company in 2009. Vince McMahon had labelled him as a “future world champion” and had he had even got the nickname of “The Chosen One”. However, these plans were quickly halted as, in an unexpected turn of events, McIntyre and his ex-wife Taryn Terrell were involved in a domestic violence incident.

But contrary to what many might think, in this case, Drew McIntyre became the victim of Domestic Violence and Taryn got arrested for the incident in 2010, following which the couple also announced their divorce. Though McIntyre had no role whatsoever in the matter, he still had to pay a very heavy price for it.

“The Chosen One,” was now left to deal with the mid carders and his World Championship plans were dropped and awarded to Jack Swagger at that time. Over the period, Drew McIntyre’s position in the roster fell dramatically and after having a terrible run as a 3-MB member, he was finally released in 2014 before making a blistering return in 2017.
