The women’s division in WWE has seen massive growth in the past few years compared to a decade ago. Two of the most prominent stars who elevated the division were none other than Charlotte Flair and Asuka. The two stars had an iconic rivalry, and it seems they are planning to reignite it on the internet.
The Queen and the Empress of Tomorrow were involved in a playful back and forth conversation on X. Asuka posted a clip of her slapping Charlotte Flair backstage on Raw. The 14-time world champion reacted to it with another GIF from their match at WrestleMania 34. She emphasized the fact that she ended the undefeated streak of the Damage CTRL member.
Moreover, the replies continued with a few more GIFS. The Japanese superstar reminded the WrestleMania main eventer about the time when she blinded her with the ‘green mist’. The Queen had nothing much to say, and she playfully buried the hatchet by sharing a GIF of the stars hugging each other. This unexpected series of responses entertained the fans amid both the stars being on hiatus.
Flair got injured last year in December. She suffered a torn ACL and has been out ever since. There are a few rumors about the return status of the former Women’s Champion. However, nothing has been profound. As for the 42-year-old star, she went on a break due to her knee injury. Although she is away from WWE TV, she has made a few appearances as she was a part of the WWE Tour in Japan.
When Charlotte Flair might return to WWE?
Charlotte Flair has been out of WWE TV for over 9 months. She missed WrestleMania XL and some of the biggest PLEs of the year. Therefore, now the question remains when the Queen is planning to make her anticipated return.
According to Viper Reports (via Inside The Ropes), Flair is expected to be back in November this year. It has been speculated that she might be returning around Survivor Series. Hence, Flair is probably going to be a part of the Women’s WarGames match this year. Her last PLE match was also a WarGames match last year.
Moreover, the former women’s champion is also expected to have a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 41. She is likely to face Tiffany Stratton at the event in Las Vegas. Needless to say, an electrifying return from Charlotte might revitalize the women’s division.
