CM Punk and Seth Rollins have been at loggerheads for over 12 months in WWE. In the past year, they have gone off multiple times, expressing their hatred toward each other. Following their intense brawl last week, The Best in the World shed light on his feelings about The Visionary amid their real-life beef on Raw.
In a sit-down interview with Jackie Redmond on Raw, The Second City Saint opened up about his history with Rollins. Punk revealed that he had mentored the latter when he was just 16 years old. However, he expressed that after he left WWE, Rollins attempted to step into his role as the company’s cornerstone. Upon Punk’s return, though, he felt that the former Shield member was insecure about losing his spot at the top.
Furthermore, The Straight Edge Superstar clarified that he holds no hatred toward Seth Rollins. In fact, he acknowledged his respect for Rollins’ accomplishments during Punk’s absence from professional wrestling. However, the former AEW star boldly declared that The Architect can now sit back and relax, as he has returned to take care of business once again.

Additionally, the 46-year-old revealed a surprising piece of history: before envisioning The Shield, Rollins was on the verge of being fired. CM Punk disclosed that he had stepped in to protect the former ROH star from losing his spot, though he never sought credit for it. This shocking revelation adds a new layer to their feud and could potentially shift the dynamic of their animosity.
Seth Rollins revealed his own reason to hate CM Punk on Raw
Seth Rollins appeared on Monday Night Raw this week following last week’s heated brawl with CM Punk. The Visionary wasted no time addressing his feud with The Best in the World. Rollins shared personal stories, shedding light on how their once-strong bond of friendship and mentorship eventually turned into hatred for the 46-year-old.
The former WWE Champion revealed that on the night Punk left WWE, he reached out to him through calls and texts, concerned about his well-being. However, the 46-year-old never responded. Rollins claimed that, in Punk’s eyes, everyone working in WWE at that time, including The Architect himself, was seen as a villain.
"When CM Punk left this company 11 years ago I called him, I texted him, because he was a friend! And what did I get back from Punk? Nothing! … Because if you didn't quit your job and side with CM Punk, then you were evil man!" – Seth Rollins to CM Punk 😳#WWERAW pic.twitter.com/NAdFtzIKtE

Furthermore, the 38-year-old declared himself the protector of WWE during the time Punk was allegedly trying to tear the company down. Rollins revealed that his resentment stems from what he perceives as Punk’s disloyalty, not just to WWE but to his friends as well. He admitted that he cannot stand it whenever the Chicago-born star refers to WWE as his home or the WWE Universe as his family.
