Formula 1 introduces F1 Academy to help female drivers make their way to the sport
Formula 1 recently took to social media to announce the opening of their new initiative known as the F1 academy which will help female drivers enter the sport of F1. Through this academy, female drivers can progress to higher levels of competitions like W series, F3, F2 and ultimately F1.
The series will consist of a total of 5 teams which will be run by the current Formula 2 and Formula 3 teams. Each team will enter a total of 3 cars making it a 15-place grid. The first season will consist of 7 events with a total of 3 races taking place in each event making one season have a total of 21 races.
The aim of creating the academy is to maximize the potential of young female drivers and provide them with opportunities so that they can reach higher levels in the world of motorsport. It is an amazing way for young female talent to make their way up in the world of motorsport and this platform will help them do exactly that.

Formula 1 recently took to social media to announce that they were launching an all-female driver category known as the F1 academy which will help young female drivers progress to a higher level of competition in the world of motorsports such as W series, F2, F3 and F1. The fans have expressed their mixed opinions towards this piece of news, while some are in support of the creation of the academy others feel that it is an unnecessary step taken by F1 when they could have just supported female drivers in the current formats and helped them grow instead of making a separate division altogether.
