The Red Bull F1 team has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons in recent times. Since the reveal of the Christian Horner inappropriate behavior allegations, the outfit’s reputation has taken a massive hit and everything has gone downhill.
From Christian Horner getting bashed to the whole Red Bull group facing scrutiny for its way of handling the Horner saga, things have not panned out well. While a new development in the form of Horner bringing in lawyers to ensure not get sacked has come up, ex-F1 driver, Ralf Schumacher, has warned Red Bull over potentially losing their star driver, Max Verstappen.
In recent times, the Dutchman has been linked with Mercedes and while talking on the same lines with Sky Germany, Schumacher recently said, as reported by racingnews365,
So the fuss is not over. Everyone has to apologise to each other, or someone has to leave. In any case, the damage to the brand is huge. There is so much turmoil. I could imagine Verstappen saying he's going to do something else. A team structure is very fragile. If something like that happens at Red Bull, everything falls apart very quickly.
The 48-year-old feels that the Austrian outfit really could lose everything because of the Horner saga. He feels the internal structure of Red Bull is very fragile at the moment and it could force Verstappen to look at other options.
Max Verstappen put in a stellar outing at the Bahrain Grand Prix
While various kinds of rumors have been circling the Red Bull F1 team in recent times, Max Verstappen has not let them affect his on-track performance. During last week’s Bahrain Grand Prix, Verstappen was on it from the get-go.
Starting the 57-lap Grand Prix from pole position, he dominated it throughout and at the end of it all, won the race by a humongous margin of over 22 seconds. Second place, Sergio Perez, was nowhere in the Dutchman’s vicinity.
Yes boys!!! Couldn’t have asked for more 🙌

Unbelievable start to the year, a 1-2 finish is absolutely fantastic 🏆 Great work @redbullracing, let’s keep pushing 👊 pic.twitter.com/yPU7LrTHEc
Max Verstappen has been dominating the pinnacle of motor racing under the current set of regulations and thus, it will be in Red Bull’s best interest to get rid of the negative publicity as soon as possible. The 26-year-old would ideally want to be in an environment where he only has to focus on his driving and not on the kind of shenanigans that are currently taking place in the Austrian outfit.
