Alex Albon deems the Ayao Komatsu-led Haas as the ‘STANDOUT’ team in 2024 mid-field pack

Williams Racing driver Alex Albon has picked Haas F1 as the best mid-table performing team this season. The Kannapolis-based team led by Ayao Komatsu has shown great promise in 2024 as compared to past seasons.

The Haas F1 team debuted in the sport at in 2016, scoring 29 points in their first ever season. They have since been acclaimed as a mid-table team, having achieved their best finish in 2018 by amassing 93 points.

Alex Albon has since praised Ayao Komatsu’s leadership in overturning the team’s fortunes this season. Komatsu took over as the team principal for Haas in January and has been effective in his role for them.

Albon has also talked of the need for Williams to step up in comparison to the other mid-table teams. Komatsu, on the other hand, will continue making his best efforts to lead Haas to a fruitful finish this year.

Haas F1 driver Kevin Magnussen has endured a rough spell both on and off the track this season. Magnussen’s future currently hangs in the balance, as he is set to be replaced by F2 sensation Oliver Bearman in 2025.

Kevin Magnussen has blatantly claimed his unwillingness to remain on the grid as a reserve driver next season. Magnussen has said that he deserves an active role on the grid given his experience and history in F1.

The 31-year-old has been faithful to Haas since the very beginning and has showcased his capabilities on track numerous times. He will now focus on delivering his best runs with hopes of securing a stable move by the end of 2024.
