Daniel Ricciardo snatched the fastest lap point at the Singapore GP to disable Lando Norris from gaining an extra point. This help from Ricciardo meant that Norris wouldn’t be able to win the world championship if Max Verstappen was to finish in second place in every race and sprint. As a result, a majority of the people applauded the Aussie’s wholesome help to his ex-teammate.
Ralf Schumacher voiced his opinions over Sky Deutschland calling Daniel Ricciardo‘s fastest lap as unfair. The media claimed that it was unfair of RB to interfere in the matter and help Red Bull for their championship ambitions. However, Schumacher commented against it and recalled Kevin Magnussen‘s early season tactics.
Schumacher questioned what was unfair in the entire matter of Ricciardo’s fastest lap. The German noted that the situation was exactly the same as Magnussen’s bollard tactics. The Ex-F1 driver added that such a case was fine and that the teams and drivers could work with such means.

McLaren’s dominant performance has enabled the team to gain the constructors’ championship lead amidst Red Bull’s struggles. Sergio Perez‘s extremely disappointing outings had been a massive contributor to their championship loss. Hence, Ralf Schumacher claimed that McLaren’s ‘two good drivers’ was a bonus point for the team.

Red Bull will have to work hard on their performance if they want a chance at championship contention towards the end.
