The 2024 F1 season has taken a back seat because of the ongoing two-week break, but this has not stopped the drivers from making appearances. The Kick Sauber driver, Zhou Guanyu was spotted last night at the iconic Wembley football stadium supporting Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants beat Germany’s Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the 2024 Champions League final. Early on during the first half, the lights of Vinicius Jr., Toni Kroos, and Dani Carvajal among others, had to soak up immense pressure as Dortmund was on the charge.

However, from about the 70th minute onward, it was all Real Madrid with Carvajal opening the scoring via a Kroos cross. Moreover, shortly after, Vincius put the final nail in the coffin by scoring another goal and securing Real Madrid’s win by a margin of 2-0.

Zhou Guanyu ‘monitoring all options’ for 2025

While the Chinese driver was recently spotted at the 2024 Champions League final, he has a big task on his hands in terms of securing his F1 future. Guanyu alongside his 10-time Grand Prix winner teammate, Valtteri Bottas are out of contract at the end of this year.

While speculation is immense, Guanyu has given a fascinating update.

We’re monitoring all these different options. Of course here remains still one of the options, but also I’m looking at what’s the best for my future. It’s very important already to start quite early, just because of the driver market as well. I’ll leave this to Graeme [Lowdon] obviously.
Zhou Guyanu said in a interview with Motorsportweek

Looking at the reaction, it is quite clear that the Chinese driver is a bit on the edge because of his contract situation. The 25-year-old would ideally want to get the situation sorted as early as possible and as per the rumors, Williams and Haas are being seen as possible destinations for him by many pundits. A clearer picture around the same could be expected by the midway point of the ongoing F1 season.
