Guanyu was clearly upset with Alonso’s actions. Alonso’s bump could have ended the Chinese driver’s race midway through. Fortunately, the incident occurred at a slow turn, where the cars weren’t going very fast. If it had happened at a high-speed section of the track, the consequences could have been much more serious.

Fernando Alonso revealed Aston Martin employees skipped lunch to work on his car

Fernando Alonso while talking to media said qualifying for the race was really hard for him. The team faced many challenges as their car wasn’t fast enough to compete for higher positions. The Spaniard explained, despite this, everyone in the team gave their best effort. They were so busy making adjustments to the car that they didn’t even had time to eat lunch. Alonso said the engineers completely changed the car’s setup from the previous races to improve it’s performance in qualifying.

It was difficult, tough qualifying tough weekend so far. We are not fast enough to fight for higher positions but the team is still trying everything they can. They didn't have even time to eat today to have lunch, because we changed the car completely from the spring race to qualifying.

Fernando Alonso explained the team decided to change the car’s setup completely and try a different approache. Despite these changes, Aston Martin ended up more or less in the same position on the grid. This showed that their issue was not with how they set up their car, but rather they lacked the speed to compete with the front runners.

So we changed completely the whole setup just trying something different. We're still more or less in the same position so it's not a problem to set up as fundamentally we don't have the pace.
Fernando Alonso added

Certainly, Fernando Alonso praised his teammates for working so hard to build his car setup, sacrificing their food. Both Aston Martin cars ended up 15th and 17th in qualifying, and they also achieved similar results in the sprint races. The team, including Alonso, felt disappointed because the setup they had created did not work out in their favor.
