Novak Djokovic exclaimed upon receiving Zhou Guanyu’s gift

The Chinese driver is yet to find his form at the pinnacle of motorsport. He currently stands without a contract for the upcoming season but has iterated his wish to continue with the Sauber (Audi) F1 team in 2025.

Zhou Guanyu not worried despite uncertainty regarding his F1 future

Formula 1 is an extremely demanding sport, oozing out every bit of performance from the top drivers all around the world. Zhou Guanyu, however, has failed to be a standout performer in that aspect so far in his career.

I am not worried about my racing career. I’m thinking about my Formula 1 career more than that, which is really nice to have. As a kid growing up, to get other very top teams in other series poaching, I think was a good thing.

The 25-year-old made his F1 debut in 2022 for Alfa Romeo, becoming the first Chinese driver to grace the sport. He has since amassed only 12 points over the course of three seasons, failing to make his mark on track.

Guanyu has claimed that he thinks of his F1 career more than his racing one in general. He will now inevitably be required to score points for his Hinwii-based team to have any chance of continuing in the sport for the 2025 season.
