Adrian Newey reportedly preferring a 2025 move to either Aston Martin or McLaren amidst Ferrari interest

British F1 engineer, Adrian Newey earlier this season announced that he would be leaving Red Bull after 18 glorious years. Newey is reportedly speculated to have a keen interest in joining either Aston Martin or McLaren, amidst growing interest from Ferrari for next year.
Adrian Newey is one of the most successful engineers in the history of Formula 1. He has won 13 drivers’ championships and 12 constructors’ championships across three teams. Newey has been associated with F1 for almost 40 years, dedicating his designing and aerodynamic abilities to the betterment of the sport.
Renowned reporter, Roberto Chinchero has claimed in the Italian edition on Motorsport, that Newey has given up on a jump to Ferrari. Moreover, is inclined towards staying in Great Britain to help teams such as McLaren and Aston Martin. The 65-year-old’s recent visit to the latter’s factory is said to have caused quite the whirl. The green-outfit has been leading pursuit of the F1 stalwart for some time.
Despite speculations and rumors, Adrian Newey has committed to devoting his time to Red Bull. He will not be making any decisions regarding his future until September. The upcoming races of the season will witness competitive races not only on the track but also in the paddock as the teams look to sign Newey to their team.
Lance Stroll explains shortfalls of Aston Martin against Red Bull and McLaren
Aston Martin has been on the ropes this season after an encouraging 2023 campaign, in which, they scored 280 points. Lance Stroll has explained the reason for the team’s issues while indirectly indicating that McLaren and Red Bull have been the top teams in F1 this season.

Lance Stroll recently signed a new contract with Aston Martin despite being in struggling form this year. He has only scored a mere 23 points from 11 races. Stroll has explained that the team initially chose the wrong path to proceed with their developments and is paying the price for it.
Stroll, also explained the current approach of Aston Martin in correcting their mistakes. However, he has said that such attempts do take time, both on and off track. The Silverstone-based team will now try to minimize their issues going ahead into the ongoing season.
