In Baku, Norris was visibly upset with Pierre Gasly, who was unaware of him approaching quite fast during the flying lap. Gasly has not been in good form with Alpine, securing only eight points in 16 races this campaign.

Norris claims that the MCL38 felt a bit difficult to drive compared to its lofty standards this year. The 24-year-old then urged his team to find the right balance to deliver better performances during qualifying at Baku.
McLaren trails Red Bull by merely eight points and is currently among the favorites to claim the 2024 constructors’ title. The upcoming race around the tricky street circuit will be a stern test for the team in determining their fate for the remainder of the season.
