Last week’s Singapore GP was a grueling 62-lap race for the 20 Formula 1 drivers. Lando Norris came out trumps but toward the south end of the grid, it was Haas’ Kevin Magnussen who had a bit of a shocker of an outing.

Kevin Magnussen started the race from P14 but as the event got going, he slipped backwards on the grid and eventually had to retire on lap 60. Seeing the Dane’s horrible Marina Bay outing, the Ex-Haas boss Guenther Steiner has deemed him as the ‘wa*Ker’ of the event.

A slight brush with the wall at a certain part of the Marina Bay circuit led to Magnussen’s DNF.

Podcast host: Okay, so who is your wa*ker for Singapore?
Steiner: I think we have to give it to Kevin, no? I mean fu*k’s sake, I mean I love the guy, but it’s like he’s last and hits the wall you know!

Steiner has brutally ripped into Magnussen following his exploits at the 2024 Singapore GP. The latter did not take part in the Azerbaijan event as he was banned during that time, and in his comeback race, he had an extremely disappointing outing, especially considering that Nico Hulkenberg put his VF-24 in an ultra-impressive P6.

Esteban Ocon showers praise on 2025 Haas F1 teammate

While Kevin Magnussen has been bashed by Guenther Steiner, he is on his way out of F1, Alpine’s Esteban Ocon will take his place from 2025 onwards. Moreover, for next year, Haas has an all-new driver line-up with Ocon and Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman.

The young British driver recently took part in the Azerbaijan GP for Haas and seeing his exploits, Ocon is very impressed.

What he’s done in Baku was really remarkable and I knew it. I think everyone in the paddock knew that he’s a remarkable talent and what he’s done was very impressive, to be on pace straightaway at such a technical track.

Ocon will be the de facto team leader of the Kannapolis-based outfit from 2025. He has a wealth of experience under his belt and has even won a Grand Prix in the sport. Bearman will get to learn a lot from the French driver and considering the upward trajectory of Haas, the duo could be seen pulling off some sensational results next year.
