After the 2024 Brazilian Grand Prix, the fight for the coveted driver’s championship has tilted significantly in the favor of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman is now 62 points ahead of second-place Lando Norris in the title tussle.
Max Verstappen was pushed to bring out his absolute A-game at the Brazilian Grand Prix. He managed to win the race despite starting from P17 and following the event, second-place finisher Esteban Ocon openly backed the former to win the title.
Moreover, he asserted that Verstappen is working incredibly hard to win his fourth world championship.
Red Bull has not had the fastest car in the sport for quite some time this year. Before Interlagos, Verstappen’s last Grand Prix win came in Round 10 of the ongoing season. Since then, he has had to fight extremely hard to keep finishing in the top positions.
The 2024 ‘title race is over’ following Max Verstappen’s heroics
While the world has acknowledged the might of Max Verstappen following the Brazilian GP, the Ex-F1 driver Johnny Herbert has openly deemed the 2024 title fight over. He feels following Verstappen’s Interlagos heroics, he deserves to become the world champion.
If the 27-year-old manages to triumph this year, it would be his fourth consecutive title.
Verstappen is seen by many as one of the best drivers to ever step foot into F1. He proved this once again by producing a magical drive around the extremely wet/tricky Interlagos racing circuit. It was not easy to keep the cars on track but Verstappen was able to do everything to perfection.
