Sergio Perez gets new role with Red Bull for 2025

Checo might no longer be part of Red Bull’s F1 operations directly. However, team boss Christian Horner has now revealed that the Mexican driver will remain tied to the Austrian giant. Horner claimed that Sergio Perez will do a few show runs for Red Bull in 2025, potentially similar to Daniel Ricciardo‘s role at the start of 2023.

He is going to still be involved with the team. He will be doing a couple of show runs with us next year.

Christian Horner told TalkSport

Perez will be hoping to stay around the paddock to perhaps grab an opportunity for 2026. The Mexican driver could be seen as a capable driver for teams in the midfield. Though, the recent influx of rookie drivers can make things more difficult for Sergio Perez.
