Sergio Perez was recently shown the exit door by Red Bull after the end of the 2024 F1 season. He was nowhere near Max Verstappen in terms of performance and ultimately, Christian Horner and Co. decided to pull the plug on him.

While Sergio Perez does not have a drive in F1 for next year, the Ex-McLaren Mechanic turned pundit Marc Priestley has come with a fascinating take. According to the latter, the Mexican racing driver has several options outside of F1 from 2025 onwards.

Sergio Perez has a massive fan base and huge commercial support behind him. He can compete in another form of racing, IndyCar might be the obvious choice right now but it will come down to his personal decision. Sometimes, drivers come towards the end of their long F1 careers and when they come to the end of their time in the sport, they might want to prioritize time with family. Perez has multiple options ahead of him though, I don’t doubt it.

The 34-year-old competed in F1 for over a decade from the start of the 2011 season onwards. He has achieved decent success in the sport and given that he has tremendous commercial backing, it shouldn’t be hard for him to find a racing seat in some category next year.

Sergio Perez makes ‘peace’ remark following Red Bull exit

During the 2024 F1 season, Sergio Perez was under huge pressure. Barring the first five races, the 24-event calendar proved to be one to forget for the six-time Grand Prix winner.

On the occasion of Christmas, he took to his X account and came up with a ‘peace’ message.

Merry Christmas, may God bless your homes and bring you much peace! At this time of year, we must always remember those less fortunate! I wish you all the best and above all much peace!

Perez was well-respected within the Red Bull team despite his on-track struggles. Moreover, they did everything in their power to make him as comfortable as possible with the cockpit of the inconsistent RB20.

Looking ahead, Perez will make the most of the winter break and spend quality time with his family. In 2025, the Mexican could surprise his fans by taking on a new challenge. In recent times, rumors have also swirled about him potentially driving for Ferrari in their hypercar setup.
