Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen have showcased a great loving bond on track in the past. The Asturian was spotted jokingly pinching Verstappen following the latter’s fourth championship win. Moreover, after witnessing the Dutchman’s grid penalty at the Qatar GP, Alonso has put forth a hilarious response to the same.

Max Verstappen and George Russell were on an out-lap during the final stages of the Qatar GP qualifying. During this, Russell was on a faster pace and was allegedly disturbed by the Dutchman being on the racing line. The Briton pushed the case and caused an unexpected penalty to Verstappen following the latter’s pole position.

Fernando Alonso had a hilarious response to this, much like Verstappen. Alonso reckoned that if this was the case for penalties, he would accelerate behind his rival during qualifying. The Asturian seemed ready to do this at the upcoming season finale in Abu Dhabi and would ask the rival to be punished by the governing body.

If that’s the case, I will accelerate up my rival on my warm-up lap in Abu Dhabi and ask him to be punished.

Max Verstappen asked George Russell to ‘F**k off’ following the fiasco

George Russell reportedly pushed the FIA to penalize Max Verstappen following the petty issue. As a result, the Dutchman was extremely agitated by Russell and had a burst of anger. The 27-year-old revealed that the Briton acted ‘nice’ in front of cameras. However, the 26-year-old was a completely different person in reality. As a result, Verstappen ended his comments by noting that the former could ‘f**k off’ as he didn’t want anything to do with him.

He always does it very nicely here in front of the camera, but then when you’re inside with him in person, it’s just a different person, I can’t stand that and it’s actually better for him to f**k off. I don’t want to get involved in this.

Despite the disappointing penalty, Verstappen defied all odds and scored an impressive win in Qatar. This proved that the Dutchman didn’t let petty problems get to his head. The coming times will witness more such performances from the prolific 27-year-old.
